After considering importing a turn key or long block Ford V8 engine from the US, we came across a local Mustang mechanic in Caloocan, Metro Manila. He was letting go of his unfinished Mustang projects and parts, one of which was this Ford 302 V8 engine. It has the casting number C8OE-6015A which means it was likely built in 1968 or 1969, a perfect match to swap into my dad's 1969 Mustang.
The engine has a 164T flywheel that is for manual transmissions, which should match a 3-speed Toploader transmission that was part of the deal.
Next step is to open it up and see what internal parts we'll have to order.
